Mathematics

The Mathematics category in math competitions typically involves a wide range of mathematical topics. Participants are expected to demonstrate their proficiency in mathematical concepts, their ability to solve equations, perform mathematical operations, and apply mathematical reasoning to a variety of problems.

Geometry

Geometry  focus on the branch of mathematics that deals with the properties, measurements, and relationships of shapes, lines, and angles. Participants are presented with geometric problems that require them to use the principles of Euclidean geometry to solve complex puzzles and proofs.

Logic

Logic  explore the realm of deductive reasoning, formal logic, and critical thinking. Participants are tasked with solving problems that require them to use logical arguments and systematic thinking to arrive at valid conclusions.

Annual National Mathematics Competition have two categories

ANMC Primary (Pri 5&6)

It is worth reminding you that this level of competition is only for primary 5&6 pupils from public or private primary schools all around Nigeria.

ANMC JUNIOR(JSS 1-3)

It is worth reminding you that this competition is only for JSS-3 pupils from public or private schools all around Nigeria.

Awards and Prizes

To celebrate our champions we have varieties of Awards as follows

MEDALS

7 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals will be given in each zone. The best seven pupils (gold medalists) from each zone will get a 100% scholarship (including tuition, feeding and hostel except other fees like books and uniforms).

SCHORLASHIPS

The pupils from 8th to 12th position (silver medalists) from each zone will get a 100% tuition scholarship. The pupils from 13th to 20th position (bronze medalists) from each zone will get a 50% tuition scholarship.

CASH PRIZE

The pupils qualifying for the 2nd round from each zone will receive a cash prize as indicated on the next page. The teachers of the pupils from each zone will receive a cash prize according to the 2nd Round results as indicated on the next page

SCHOOL PRIZE

The best three schools from each zone will be given special prizes. (One school can get only the highest deserved price) Twenty pupils from each zone will be given certificates of merit. The schools and teachers of the twenty pupils from each zone will be awarded certificates of merit. The schools of twenty pupils from each zone will be awarded plaques.

MEDALS

A maximum of 20 students will receive Medals of achievement

SCHORLASHIPS

The only reward is various scholarships at NTIC schools. Maximum best 6 students of the 2nd Round will be offered a full scholarship (including tuition, feeding, and hostel except for other fees like books and uniforms) and the maximum next immediate 14 students will be offered various tuition fee scholarships. All these scholarships will be distributed at various NTIC branches. The organizing committee will do the placement of the winners.

CASH PRIZE

The Junior ANMC winners and their trainers will receive various cash prizes.
