Back to School: Expectations and Aspirations
Day one of 2018/2019 academic session gave a peek into how most of our student’s spent their long summer breaks and revealed their hopes, goals and expectations for the academic year.
Most of them expressed a feeling of nostalgia about the break. Al-Mizan Oseni, a J.SS3 student in Abuja session said; “I had an amazing summer break. I spent awesome time with my sibling and cousins. Summer for me was characterized by ‘family time’”. Still commenting on how the summer break went, Usman an SS1 student in Abuja Coed said; “my summer holiday was fun all the way but most of all, I used the holiday to catch up on mathematics”.
Not only did our students have swell time during the holiday, they resumed the academic session with great aspirations. Hauwa, Princess and Ezenwa, SS3 students in Abuja Coed have their goals all lined up. “My top priority this session is to pass all my exams in flying colours” said Princess. Both Hauwa and Ezenwa concurred saying being their ultimate year as students in NTIC, they hope to make this final lap count by putting in their best shots.
The enthusiasm of the students matches the gusto of our teachers who are all set to pour their essence in teaching the students. Mr. Andrew a Basic Technology teacher at the Abuja Girls in an interview relayed; “I am all set to make a difference in the lives of the students by not only impacting Basic Tech knowledge but also drill into them critical analytic skills that would make them well rounded members of the society”.
We are well convinced that this academic session will be a rewarding experience for our students and staff.
