On Thursday, 28th of January, 2021, the National Mathematical Centre awarded 15 students from NTIC for outstanding performance among 78 other students for the 2019/2020 National Mathematics Sciences Olympiads.

The awardees are Okezie Chiedozie who emerged as the 2nd position in the Senior Mathematics and Otutochi Caleb Nwakadimpa as 4th position. (The two awardees also represented Nigeria at the International Mathematical Olympiad 2020). Fatima Habib Nuhu from NTIC Kano Girls was awarded as the best girl in Junior Informatics. For Junior Mathematics Obum-Mmeka Kamsi came 4th.

In Physics, Collins Divine from Abuja emerged as 8th position. For Junior Informatics, Muhammad Garba Musa from NTIC Yobe came first, Umar Alhaji Adamu as 2nd position, Abdullahi Muhammad L. as 3rd position, Ibrahim Audu Babato as 4th, Salihu Abdullahi Adab and Abubakar Saleh Adamu as 5th position, Odoh Felix Ozioma, Muhammad Ahmad Geidam and Muhammad Saifudeen Abdullah as 7th position.

The award ceremony ended on a good note; due to covid-19 restrictions, only NTIC Abuja students were present and also serves as representatives for other awardees from NTIC branches.
