TEDx NTIC Abuja Youth - 2023 Edition
The inaugural TEDx NTIC Abuja Youth event took place on November 25, 2023, under the theme “IGNITE”. This theme encapsulated the spirit of sparking inspiration, passion, and motivation for positive change. The event featured 10 speakers, including NTIC students, alumni, and distinguished guests, who shared insights across various fields such as technology, education, and leadership. The program also included two performances and a breakout session, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement throughout the half-day event .

What is TEDx NTIC Abuja Youth
TEDx NTIC Abuja Youth is part of the global TEDx initiative, which empowers local communities to organize TED-style events. These events combine live speakers and recorded TED Talks to foster deep discussions and connections. At NTIC, this event provides students, alumni, and guest speakers with an opportunity to present innovative ideas and personal stories that resonate with the youth audience.

TED is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ideas worth sharing. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with several initiatives. The two annual TED conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for up to 18 minutes. Many of the talks given are then made available for free on TED.com.

Olympic Taekwondo Medalist
Chika Chukwumerije is a Nigerian Olympic Taekwondo athlete who won a bronze medal in the +80 kg category at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He is also a sports advocate and founder of the Chika Chukwumerije Sports Foundation.
